Led by the principle partners: the Emirates Group and Dubai Tourism; the Intelak Incubator is a hub that seeks to develop teams, comprised of early-stage entrepreneurs, to become part of the conversation in aviation, travel and tourism. The three co-founders work towards the goal of ensuring an integrated and inclusive programme, to explore what tomorrow can hold for this exciting sector in the UAE. In order to support UAE's ambitious plans for the future, and to ensure that the country sets the highest global standards for services, systems, and experiences in aviation, travel and tourism; three partners are for the first time creating an aviation, travel and tourism incubator to turn ideas into sustainable businesses. The heart of the programme is at DTEC (located in Dubai Silicon Oasis) - a centre for collaboration, ideation, and the growth of new technologies. Each year, Intelak hosts two cohorts and selects the top four ideas, one in the Spring and one in the Fall. Each startup is awarded a cash prize of 50,000 AED, access to mentors and resources from the Emirates Group, GE and Dubai Tourism, and enrolment in an exclusive three-month training programme. Intelak also provides a three-week programme focused on fostering UAE National talent, in the UAE, in collaboration with external partners in the community through an open innovation challenge for aviation and travel ideas. In September 2017, Intelak partnered with Dubai SME to bring this initiative to life. This year, we aim to host our Intelak Idea Lab around making aviation, travel and tourism ideas come to life aimed to take place in July, 2018.
