Dubai Culture was founded on 8th March 2008 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; under the able leadership of His Excellency Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Chairman of Dubai Culture; and Her Highness Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dubai Culture. The Authority has played a crucial role in establishing the city as a vibrant global Arabian metropolis that shapes the culture and arts sectors in the UAE and the wider region.
