Hakaya Collection LLC, formerly known as RAK Hospitality Group, was founded in 2011 by RAK Tourism Development Authority and was transferred in 2014 under RAK Hospitality Holding LLC as its subsidiary. Today, Hakaya’s commercial activities are solely focused on dining, entertainment, leisure operations and hospitality services. Hakaya Collection is devoted to enhancing the lifestyles of Ras Al Khaimah’s residents and visitors by supporting the development of leisure venues that further strengthen the appeal of ‘Destination Ras Al Khaimah’. As well as focusing on existing operations, Hakaya Collection is constantly exploring opportunities and the development of new concepts. In April 2016, the group inked an exclusive franchise development agreement with Kona Grill Inc. to operate six Kona Grill restaurants across all of the UAE, over the next seven years. The first Kona Grill in the UAE debuted in November 2017 in Al Seef, Meraas’s latest bustling waterfront project overlooking the Dubai Creek.
