Nice restaurant overlooking the island The appetizers are delicious, but the grills are not well cooked and the taste is not good

Good authentic middle eastern restaurant. The restaurant is located on the 16th floor of the Waldorf Astoria hotel so you get a beautiful view of the gulf.

Went there as we were spending the weekend in RAK, had gone for a birthday evening for my wife, The ambience was very very good and the food was perfect, we ordered a penne pasta for my kid and for us it was the fatoush salad (mind blowing!), a Batata bowl (even better) along with a Chicken shawarma. The reason for a 3.5 is that the hostess of the establishment was rather rude and a bit racist. I admit, we went there as walk-ins, but were informed that the place was fully booked (even though it was a weekday night and the place was practically empty). Furthermore, we were informed that all the OTHER restaurants in the hotel would also be full and they could not serve us. As we proceeded to leave, one of the waiters had a word with her and she grudgingly took us in, we were there for 2 hours and maybe one other family came in after us (who were walk-ins and got a smile and welcome) . I'd rate them higher since their food is fantastic, but they need to change how they handle customers and not based on pigmentation. I would not be dining here again due to this hostess and how they treat customers based on ethnicity.
