@sultanbabaiskender a very sophisticated Turkish restaurant situated in @dubaifestivalplaza , has a beautiful setup and you are sure to has a gastronomical experience straight out of turkey. Such a lucky find! Great atmosphere spacious and elegant interior. Adana kebab - this is Adana, the meat was succulent and hit the spot Beyti kebab - if you love Turkish cuisine, the one word alone makes your mouth water. Pirzola lamp chops - I’ll take this whole skillet of these beautiful lollipops Kiymali kasarli pide - delicious soft pita loaded with mince and cheese Turkish tea - it’s locally known as the color of “rabbit blood”. It’s a mesmerizing dark bright red that’s make you want to pour just another cuppa! This is one of the best Turkish restaurants which serves authentic Turkish cuisine. Fan of Turkish food!!!??? Veggie Nomads

Turkey is a meat loving country but is also a vegetarian heaven. Turkish cuisine has a range of savoury and sweet pastries. Dough based specialties form an integral part of traditional Turkish cuisine. So to enjoy the Turkish Vegetarian cuisine we went to @sultanbabaiskendar @festivalmallplaza Thanks a lot to the staff there who helped us select the vegetarian dishes from the menu. We ordered : ️Drink - Fresh lemon with mint juice. ️Soup - Turkish lentil soup served with Pita bread. ️Peynirli Pide - This is a boat shaped bread which is filled with Mozzarella Cheese (they also have a one with white cheese) ️Cheese Rolls - Puff Pastries stuffed with cheese and deep fried ️Gavurdagi Salatasi - Salad which had finely chopped tomatoes, onion, pepper, walnuts & sumuc topped with pomogranate sauce, olive oil & lemon juice. ️ Fattoush - Salad which has chopped lettuce, tomato, mint, cucumber, crispy bread topped with pomogranate sauce, olive oil and lemon juice. ️Mixed Mezze Platter - This had Hummus, Tabbouleh, Muttabel & salad in it. ️Kunafe - Thin layers of pastry shredded and baked with unsalted cheese. It was served warm with a light syrup. The decor is absolutely amazing, I liked the deep blue walls and the brick walls, and overall atmosphere. You can really feel the Turkish inspired decor. For drinks, we had fresh lemonade and lemon and mint juice, so refreshing. I tried the Iskender kebab it was really full of flavor and the portions of all the main dishes were quite generous, even though we opted for the regular kebab so we weren’t expecting that. For starters burek and cheese fattayer pizza, really tasty and oven warm. Before the food arrived, we received complimentary pita bread and 3 dipping sauces, and the end of the meal we had complimentary Turkish tea.

My visit to Sultan Baba Iskander was an experience, as it was my 1st time having an authentic Turkish cuisine. We were served with complimentary drinks, lemonade, ayran (leban) and their famous Karisik Salata. Karisik salata is a Salad platter with hummus, mutebbel, tabouleh and green salad. All were freshly prepared and tasty. Then we ordered the main dishes, a doner kebab and some lamb chops. Iskendar kebab is doner slices of lamb and beef served on a pita bread, soaked in tomato sauce and hot melted butter. Those were tender and succulent. Pirzola are the Char grilled tender lamb chops served with burgul, rice and onion salad. It was finger licking and delicious. Both the chops and doner kebabs were soft and well cooked. I was so glad to see Turkish food is full of nutritions, they serve you a balanced diet. The portion of meat, vegetables and carbs in all there dishes are appropriate. For Kids we ordered a doner burger. It is a grilled chicken or meat pattie in a bun, and they serve the burger with French fries. Last but not least, we treat our taste buds with Kunefe, it was freshly prepared, and delicious. They also served us Qehwa, when we finished our meal. They not only serve their customers the food, but also win them with their culture and hospitality.

Sheikh Taj

Very good Turkish restaurant inside food court of Festival City Mall. I like their mix grill, lamb shish kebabs , chicken kebabs, chicken wings and lamb chop. Do try their salad it’s really good.
