Hotel is shabby and need a Hollywood play of the 50's to use it as a stage for a crime movie set. There are a couple of clubs which compensates for the inconveniences of old outdated furniture, inadequate toilet and bath, and air conditioner that will keep you up late night if the noise from the night clubs didn't reach your room. Staff also is pretty adamant about rules of couples need to be from the same nationality to check in which makes you scratch your head.
