This museum uses life-size dioramas to depict everyday Dubai life in the days before the discovery of oil. Galleries recreate scenes from the Creek, traditional Arab houses, mosques, the souk, date farms and desert and marine life. The great modern city of Dubai often let others forget there was a past. This small museum gives a good pictorial history of Dubai, from a small fishing village. Once completed, just go outside this old town and visit places on both sides of the Dubai creek.

Great museum that describes the story about the creation of the UAE. There are many documents and it’s particular interesting to understand the role of the UK in the process. The museum is beautiful and uses a lot of technology, which might be interesting to children. That are also small movie presentations. It is an amazing place to visit If you are interested in an important part of contemporary history.
This is a beautiful, semi-interactive museum with a focus on the founding of the United Arab Emirates. The cost is 25 dirham per adult. Well worth it.
Should be a must for all people living in Dubai - less for tourists. The museum is showing the story behind the creation of the United Arab Emirates and the early years. And just beside the house, you can visit the Union House, where the UAE contract was signed by the six Emirates... Right, six and not seven. Visit the museum and you will know more... Extremely friendly and proud people at the reception and in the museum itself.
Everyone who is living here in UAE should visit this historic place that gives us the clear picture of UAE Union.. Everyone should visit.. This is the base of this country's evolution.. We have so much to learn and know of this Country..
What an absolutely brilliant facility excellent education in the history of the UAE. I also have to commend the staff, I wish I had taken the name of the young lady who assisted us as her enthusiasm to help and share her knowledge was great. I would recommend allowing 3 or more hours to get the best of your visit and to watch all the films and interviews. Highly recommended
So so inspiring. Dubai is my second home and this place gives me many reasons to claim it. The power of history and inspiration unfolds right there in front of your eyes. Perfection.
This place is a must-visit for a fascinating glimpse into the history of this region. There's a lot to unpack, so I'd advise devoting enough time to spend here. The architecture and layout of the entire place is simply stunning, so you should definitely plan for spending some time here. Photographers would really enjoy the area around the museum too.
