District Cooling Plant of EMPOWER (worlds largest district cooling company) in IMPZ/DPC (International Media Production Zone/Dubai Production City) area providing District Cooling Services to majority of the buildings over this place. District Cooling is the technology of producing chilled water in centralized plant and distributing it through insulated underground pipes to nearby buildings for their HVAC or Air Conditioning purposes. District cooling is part of sustainable development / clean energy goals of Dubai Government. This technology reduces the Carbon footprint, and commercially saves the building owner for saving overall construction cost, and space. This is plant is having capacity of 47,000 RT (refrigeration tons). The new plant will replace the other existing semi-permanent plants in this area. And also will use award winning Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE) and Thermal Energy Storage (TES) technologies in its operations.
