Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR), was established under Law no. 31 of 2009 issued by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and is assigned with tasks at the level of Dubai Government. DGHR's role is to lead the efforts of modernizing Governmental human resources and Aligning HR programs and initiatives with the Emirate's strategic objectives and priorities as per Dubai Strategic Plan 2015. DGHR is involved in strategically managing and supporting the transformation of human resources through upgrading the regulatory and organizational structure of governmental HR, updating HR applications and practices, and directing and planning the process of building national capacities. Furthermore it is working on providing a research base for generating and exchanging knowledge across Governmental agencies so as for such agencies to possess modern methodologies and practical tools for managing and developing their human resources.
