I'm British and paid 1000 Australia Dollars for glasses 8 years ago. I got new glasses in Vision Express in Ibn Battuta mall 4 years ago for 4600. I went to Vision express and other places in Ibn Battuta mall that gave me a quote to renew one pair. I went to Al Wadi Optics and got new vairifocal lenses in my Safety glasses. My old ones from Australia. My ones I got in Dubai and another new pair of frames and lenses for less than it cost to replace lenses on an old pair from Australia. Unbelievable.! The Optitian looked at my prescription I got from Ibn Battuta guys and thought it didn't look right. Checheked my eyesight the old fashioned way and gave me the correct script. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND any Expats and Europeans on holiday to go here for new glasses. No problems. Quick delivery. No busting your hump trying to sell you something. My wife got a pair of sunglasses free every time we visited. 10 out of 10 for these guys. Just 2 min walk from the Metro station and plenty parking also
