Escape to find peace

Small Hike with a good view! Yet another place with free entry. I visited during the evening after 4pm (do not visit during the middle of the day). The weather was good too. You might want to wear non-slippery shoes and have enough strength to walk through the stairs. Carry enough water (mandatory). Beautiful view. The fort is small and can stay around an hour as there is nothing else to do apart from the hike. No toilets are available.

Great hidden gem in rak if you want to get in touch with uae history and traditions. Place is not managed well and the not following safety measures so you have to be extra careful specially if you have kids with you...once you reach the top of the Fort its an amazing view that you can't miss.

It's a bit of a climb up some stairs to get to the fort and it might be a struggle for some (or only a light stroll if you're fit) but there's a decent viewing point from the top worth going up for. The fort itself is basic, but nonetheless interesting to see for the historical significance, and there's a courtyard area with some ok views of the surrounding areas as well as the nearby mountains. There's at least two ways to drive to the carpark here - one which is sealed, the other unsealed and narrow. If you find yourself on the unsealed route you should probably you go back and find the other route.

Its a lovely place to visit. Located far end at ras al khaimah and can be access without 4x4. There are two ways that leads to this fort location one is little offroad and other one is proper road which leads to the parking area. Awesome sunset view from this location. To reach at the top of the fort you need to climb 250 stairs. Be careful with kids while coming down or going up. I will recommended this place as a very awesome tourist destination in RAS. Must visit this place and enjoy the splendid view of nature from top.

This was one of our favorites as the climb to the fort ended in a fantastic view of the entire region. Although there were no artifacts, the Fort is very well preserved and gives you a commanding view.
