Since its beginnings in the early 2014th Akka Project, previously knowns as Create Hub Gallery, has been focused on promoting and presenting Contemporary Art from Africa, first from its gallery in Dubai and since February 2019 in Venice as well. Our galleries showcase a vast selection of paintings where every piece is carefully selected from the most fascinating emerging artists in Africa. We make sure every art piece conveys a personal journey of the artist that is guaranteed to transfer you to where it all started. Our commitment in promoting Arts from Africa is felt in all exhibitions, where the engagement part is always welcome to accomodate the vast and very different public. Beyond just a gallery, AKKA Project presents multidimensional exhibitions and immersive art experiences throughout the year. With its gallery in Venice, AKKA Project aims to connect Dubai‘s recent and flourishing art scene, with the city of Venice, the legendary host of the old masters and the iconic Biennale. As proud producers of the pavilion of Mozambique at the Venice Biennale 2019 we hope to be able to engage with even more wide public and collectors.
