Very nice port. We arrived with the „Mein Schiff 5“ and stayed there for two days. From the ship we have had a beautiful view to the skyline of Abu Dhabi. You can‘t leave the port without a shuttle. During the shuttle transfer you can see a lot of modern and traditional paintings on the port-wall made with grafiti. The security checks in the terminal are a bit annoying, but certainly prescribed by law. Here you have to send each time his whole and good through the scanner. Inside you can buy a lot of souvenirs, also postcards with stamps. There is also a post-box for sending them.
Tax free port, amazing prices to buy electronics!!! And a lot of souvenirs! Very cleen and shinning!
Zayed Port (Arabic: ميناء زايد\u200e) also referred to as Mina Zayed, is a commercial deep-water port owned by the Abu Dhabi Ports that serves Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Established in 1968, Zayed Port is located in the northeast section of Abu Dhabi city. It was officially inaugurated and became fully operational in 1972, and is named after Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the former President of the United Arab Emirates. The transfer of Zayed Port's container traffic to the newly developed US7.2 billion Khalifa Portcontainer terminal was completed in December 2012.
