I think this is not that bad if i start comparing all the nepali restaurants in abu dhabi this is bit ok than other restaurants according to me

This was my first time at a Nepalese restaurant and I was confused with what to order as they have so many options to choose from. But we were welcomed by Sabeena and she explained the menu so well to us and made clear suggestions as she understood our taste buds in seconds. We were confused if we should have sit in or out because the cafe looks so cozy and has great interior but the vibe outside with the lights and the locals enjoying tea and pakoras in the cold outside made it look so authentic and made me feel like I had taken a little trip out of UAE. though it is a small place they are constantly busy but the service is not compromised I must say, they manage to balance everything very well and the food was prepared fresh and served to the table in less than 20 minutes. They also sanitized all tables and had a sanitizer on each one. We ordered a lot of food because the whole menu was tempting and the prices were so great really! The portions and flavours were so satisfying, not spicy but full of flavour I must say. I have marked must tries with * for anyone visiting to try! Starters *Sizzling Jhaneko Momos Chicken Sekuwa (Skewwers) Chilly Fries Paneer Pakora Mains *Mutton Thaali (with free veg. Curry refills) Gorkha Beef Combo Set Chicken Chowmein *Special Mix Dharani Thuppa (noodle soup with mixed meat and veggies) Drinks Masala coke (something new and exciting) Strawberry Mojito (fresh and bubbly was included with the combo set) Masala Tea This meal was good for about 4 people and I would highly recommend visiting the place and enjoying the meals warm. We ended the night with a masala tea and it was perfect to every bit. For a little cafe and restaurant I would say they are doing a great job and it was better than one of the so called top ranking chinese restaurants I have visited in Abu Dhabi for multiple reasons. I will definitely be going back for many more visits especially because of their lovely customer service, vibe and masala tea!
Yesterday was 'Explore' a different Cuisine Day for us ,so we visited the most talked about 'The Gorkha Palace Cafe and Restaurant", ( Nepali food hub) and we must say that it was an amazing treat to the tastebuds.... We were spoilt for choice over their elaborate selection of items on the menu... Our Order finally included : -CHICKEN GORKHA SPECIAL THALI - (Rice/Roti, Chicken Curry, Veg Curry, Daal, Aloo/Kerela Fry, Saag, Pickle, Pappad, Yogurt, Ghee, Salad, Sweet Lassi). -GORKHA BUFF COMBO SET (Buff momo 4pcs, Aloo Sadheko, Buff Chowmein, Buff choila, Bhatmas Sadheko, Chiura, Tomato Pickle, Mix Aachar, 1 Drink). -CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA (Thick gravy with good amount of Chicken pieces) -CHICKEN NOODLES (Good quantity with generous amount of chicken ) -MASALA CHAI (with fresh milk....a must after the meal). Each dish was uniquely presented specially the GORKHA Special Thali - its tastier then it looks. The taste of each of the other dishes were extremely satisfying too. Our overall rating: - Ambience 5/5 - Presentation 5/5 - Food Quantity and Taste 5/5 - Staff 5/5 - Price 5/5 - Perfect Indoor & Outdoor Seating 5/5 Special thanks to our server Seema, who presented herself well and did everything to give us the best service during our visit. Karak tea always ready within 1 min breakfast was amazing, I had masala omelet puri and tea for 10 AED. Fast service. Inside only 3 tables, summer time I don’t think I can handle the heat, because windows all around and sunny.
Tried momos. Too much dough, thick dough, less meat! Good quantity for money. Scope for improvement for the restaurant if you are reading this..
The GORKHA Palace is one of the finest Nepali restaurants in Abu Dhabi. It emphasize the power of simplicity while the flavors of the finest ingredients speak for themselves. I would say the restaurant serves very authentic food at extremely affordable prices. The restaurant is cozy with adequate indoor and outdoor seating area. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We felt we were dinning at home with friends as they were very interactive; starting from the menu discussion until we left the place. As we were dining there for the first time, Sabina had suggested us the best sellers and yummy options on their menu and we ordered the same. For starters we ordered French fries chilly which tasted just like chilly chicken so a very yummy option is you are a vegetarian, though they have a very elaborate menu with many vegetarian and non vegetarian options. We also ordered their famous tandoori momos and sizzling jhaneko momos which was nicely seasoned and served hot with some fresh veggies on the side. We also tried their mutton Gorkha thali and I must say it was mouth watering and the portions are huge. They have some yummy chowmein which is my another favorite from there. And for the beverages we tried the GORKHA lassi generously topped with nuts and GORKHA blue berry Mojito which was great too. This restaurant is Definitely worth a try !
What an amazing hidden gem with delicious food. I had the chicken thali and the tandoori momos. Fantastic meal and super value for money. Will be back for alot more soon.
The food was awesome. We really liked the tandoori momo which was recommended to us by the staff. But it was the service part that really won us over. The service crew all came to say hi, asked about the food, and chit chat with us. It was a fun experience talking to the staff. We will be going back soon for more reccomendations and more momos I am back again in the resturant. This time i tried their chicken jhol momo and nepali tea both of which were very good. The spicy and normal dips that comes with their momos are the best and compliment the dish very well. Will be looking forward to coming back to this resturant again
